Figure retires F.02 humanoid robots in Terminator-style farewell
Original: Hasta la vista, baby – Figure F.02 humanoid robots decommissioned, T2-style
Robotics company Figure has decommissioned its F.02 humanoid robots, announcing the move with a 'Hasta la vista, baby' reference to Terminator 2. The tongue-in-cheek farewell suggests the robots are being retired ahead of a newer model or next generation of the company's humanoid platform.
Why now: Figure is retiring its F.02 humanoid robot, likely ahead of a successor model, and framed the news with a pop-culture joke that caught attention.
