Cloudflare calls for developers to build the next Git platform
Original: We want you to build the next Git platform on Cloudflare
Cloudflare has published a blog post inviting developers to build a next-generation Git hosting platform on its infrastructure. The company argues its global network, storage and compute products could support a challenger to established code-hosting services. The post, shared on Hacker News where it drew around 100 likes, is being read as both a technical showcase and a nudge to the developer community to experiment with alternatives to current Git platforms.
Why now: The developer community is discussing whether Cloudflare's infrastructure could realistically power a credible alternative to GitHub or GitLab.
