Delta Goodrem is leading the Strictly Come Dancing scoreboard ahead of the show's first elimination. The Australian singer and actress sits at the top of the judges' marks early in the competition, with judges including Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke scoring her routine highly. The story comes from the BBC competition's early weeks, when celebrity contestants face their first vote to decide who leaves the dance floor.
Why now: Strictly Come Dancing's first elimination is a high-interest moment in the UK entertainment calendar, and Goodrem's strong start is generating buzz.
