Original: Kolibri - Tech Report [pdf] https://aleph-alpha.com/downloads/tech-report.pdf # HackerNews # Tech # AI
German AI company Aleph Alpha has released a technical report in PDF form covering Kolibri, its language model. The document was shared on Hacker News, where it drew modest attention from the tech community. Readers are assessing the company's disclosures about the model's capabilities, training, and positioning against larger US AI labs.
Why now: Aleph Alpha is a prominent European AI challenger, so new technical detail about its flagship model draws scrutiny from developers comparing it with OpenAI and other rivals.
