Kids Test Solar Ovens at Jaffrey Library Despite Cloudy Skies
Original: Preserving Our Region: Kids test solar ovens at Jaffrey Public Library, despite cloudy skies
Children at the Jaffrey Public Library in New Hampshire built and tested solar ovens as part of a hands-on science activity on renewable energy, according to the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript. The experiment went ahead even though cloudy skies limited direct sunlight, giving participants a chance to observe how solar cooking performs in less-than-ideal conditions.
Why now: A local library hosted a community education event on solar energy, drawing interest from residents in the region.
