The Witcher 3 remaster drives record concurrent players

The free next-generation remaster of The Witcher 3 has pushed the 2015 RPG to a new all-time high for concurrent players, years after its original release. CD Projekt Red released the upgrade at no extra cost to existing owners, and the surge suggests many players are returning to the game or trying it for the first time following the update's release.

Why now: The free next-gen upgrade just launched, drawing lapsed and new players back and setting a record player count.
