GOG users hit with massive 100GB game updates after short break

Original: Oh... wow... Man macht, nach ein paar Wochen Pause, mal wieder GOG Galaxy auf und was gibt es ? Über 100GB Updates, alle

A PC gamer returned to the GOG Galaxy launcher after a few weeks away and found more than 100GB of updates waiting, with around 88GB alone tied to a remaster of The Witcher 3. The complaint highlights growing frustration among players over ballooning game file sizes and the cost of the SSD storage needed to hold them, with a wry note that storage 'costs nothing anymore' in 2026.

Why now: Gamers are reacting to the ever-increasing download and storage sizes of modern game updates, especially for titles like The Witcher 3 remaster.
