The National Secretary of the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council (JNPSNC) has warned that if Nigeria's Federal Government refuses to listen to the council's demands, the next step will be a total strike. In an interview with Trust TV, he signalled an escalation of industrial action, saying current measures could give way to a nationwide walkout across the public service.
Why now: The union's threat of escalation comes amid ongoing labour disputes with the Nigerian Federal Government, drawing public attention to a potential nationwide shutdown.
