Floating Cloud City on Venus Proposed as Future Colony

Original: Posting cool # space # facts until the Atlas Rush # Kickstarter : Cloud City may someday be a reality on Venus. At 50-60

A space fact shared ahead of the Atlas Rush Kickstarter campaign highlights NASA's Cloud City concept: a floating habitat on Venus. At altitudes of 50-60 kilometres, Venus's atmosphere has temperatures and pressures similar to Earth's, and breathable oxygen would act as a lifting gas, meaning colonies could float above the planet's hostile surface rather than sit on it.

Why now: The idea is being promoted to build interest in the Atlas Rush Kickstarter campaign.
