A Russian drone strike on a house in Kyiv on 30 September killed Yevheniia, 45, and her 94-year-old grandmother Mariia, who had lived together in the home where three generations of the family grew up. Reports note Mariia had taken her medication the evening before the attack. The deaths have drawn renewed attention to the toll of nightly drone attacks on Ukrainian civilians.
