Birdwatcher spots first common firecrest of winter on local patch
Original: Waddle in local patch was quiet, but I did hear and see a winter guest for the first time; the common firecrest 😍 #Bird
A birdwatcher reported a quiet walk on their local patch, but heard and saw a common firecrest for the first time this winter. The tiny songbird, a seasonal visitor, was shared with a joyful reaction and photographed as part of a winter birding outing.
Why now: Firecrests are striking winter arrivals, and first-of-season sightings excite the birding community.
