Ishikawa's sons appear at Yakult pitcher's retirement game
Original: 石川雅規
Yakult legend Masanori Ishikawa's retirement game drew attention as his two sons appeared on the field. Both are notably tall, prompting former Yakult players to joke that they are 'far bigger than Ishikawa himself.' The family moment added a warm, personal touch to the farewell ceremony for the veteran left-hander.
Why now: The retirement of a long-serving Yakult star and the rare public appearance of his sons are drawing wide interest in Japan.
