Retro gamers celebrate two SSI classics

Retro gaming fans are reminiscing about two classics from publisher SSI: Eye of the Beholder, the dungeon crawler full of skeletons, spells and maze-like underground exploration, and Silent Hunter, the submarine simulator of torpedoes and endless wandering beneath the waves. A Czech-language post comparing the pair drew amused agreement, with players noting you either get lost in a dungeon or underwater, and celebrating the era of big-box PC game releases.
Why now: Nostalgia for 1990s big-box PC games from SSI resonates with retro gaming communities.

- Dvě legendy od SSI 🤩 Na jedné straně Eye of the Beholder - dungeony, kostlivci, kouzla a nekonečné bloudění v podzemí. Na druhé Silent Hunter - ponorka, torpéda a nekonečné bloudění pod vodou. Buď se ztratíš v dungeonu, nebo pod hladinou. 😁 # RetroGaming # BigBox # videogames · DanielZima@mastodonczech.cz · 2
