Chief O'Brien Named a Favourite Star Trek Character
Original: After Data, Chief O'Brien, Union Man, might be my favourite Star Trek character 😂 @ startrek @ worldbuilding @ humor@fed
Star Trek fans are celebrating Chief Miles O'Brien, the working-class engineer of Deep Space Nine, as a fan favourite after Data. A lighthearted post calling him a 'union man' and joking about his love of blue-collar values has drawn warm engagement, with readers agreeing the everyman character stands out among Starfleet officers.
Why now: Fans enjoy discussing beloved everyman characters like O'Brien, whose ordinary working-stiff appeal resonates in contrast to more idealised officers.
