Ubuntu adds Windows-like tiling layout picker

Original: Time for this week's # Linux and # OpenSource news video! In this one, # Ubuntu adds a Windows-like tiling layout picker

Ubuntu is rolling out a Windows-style tiling layout picker, letting users snap windows into grids from an on-screen menu. The feature is part of this week's Linux and open source news roundup, which also covers a rounder Firefox redesign and a proposed Flatpak-like packaging tool for command-line and developer tools. Linux watchers see it as Ubuntu borrowing a popular window-management idea from Windows.

Why now: Ubuntu adopting a familiar Windows tiling feature is notable news for desktop Linux users this week.
