Ukrainian Mirage fighter shoots down S8000 Banderol cruise missile

Original: s8000 бандероль

Ukrainian media, citing reports, say a French-made Mirage fighter has for the first time shot down a Russian S8000 Banderol cruise missile over Ukraine. The interception marks a notable debut for both the newly delivered Mirage jets and the S8000, a relatively new Russian cruise missile design now being used in strikes against Ukrainian targets.

Why now: It is the first reported interception of Russia's new S8000 Banderol missile, downed by Ukraine's recently delivered Mirage jets.
