Zuckerberg, Musk and Altman recast as movie villains
Original: Meet the new movie villains: Zuckerberg, Musk and Altman
Tech billionaires Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk and Sam Altman are being portrayed as villains in new films, reflecting a shift in how Hollywood and audiences view Silicon Valley's most powerful figures. The trend marks a turn from earlier portrayals of tech founders as visionary heroes to darker depictions of their power, ambition and impact on society.
Why now: Hollywood's portrayal of tech moguls as antagonists taps into growing public scepticism about the power of the tech industry.
