Ukrainian Yak-52 gunner shoots at Russian drone, flips it off
Original: Footage of a Ukrainian YaK-52 backseat gunner engaging a Russian attack drone with small arms fire and then flipping it
Footage circulating shows a Ukrainian Yak-52 trainer aircraft in action against a Russian attack drone. A backseat gunner fires small arms at the drone and, after the engagement, gives it the middle finger. The Yak-52 has become a low-cost improvised interceptor against Russian one-way attack drones.
Why now: The unusual sight of a light trainer aircraft's gunner duelling a drone with a rifle and a rude gesture is striking wartime footage.
