Trump Joins G7 Zoom Call Camera Off as Oil Release Deal Announced
Donald Trump reportedly joined a G7 video conference with his camera switched off while leaders announced a coordinated oil release deal. The image of the former US president attending a major allies' meeting in that manner quickly drew commentary, with observers weighing in on the protocol and what it signals about his engagement with the group.
Why now: The unusual sight of Trump attending a high-profile G7 call camera-off coinciding with an oil announcement is striking and widely shared.
