Amazon has pledged to stop the controversial practice of requiring non-disclosure agreements in its negotiations with local governments over data center projects, while also warning critics not to obstruct its operations. The move is being read as a concession to growing local opposition to data center construction, which has sparked fights over water, power and land use in communities across several countries.
