President Trump's proposed monumental arch over Washington, D.C. has become a focal point for protesters, including veterans, who see it as a symbol of his grip on the capital. With the November midterms approaching, demonstrators are channeling their opposition into electoral organizing, hoping voters will curb Trump's agenda and stall signature projects like the arch.
Why now: The upcoming midterm elections are being framed by protesters as the best chance to push back against Trump's plans for the capital.
