Newgrounds remains a hub for independent games and art
Original: Newgrounds.com – A community of games, music, and art
Newgrounds, the long-running website where independent creators share games, animation, music and art, is drawing fresh attention online. Commenters are revisiting the site's role as a launchpad for amateur and indie creators, with many recalling how early Flash-era games and animators got their start there before bigger platforms existed.
Why now: Renewed discussion of Newgrounds likely stems from nostalgia and interest in creator-owned platforms amid debates over big social networks.
