Original: New Europen Union... Hamas supporter praises Gaza fighters, invokes martyrdom from high-security Italian prison https://
A Hamas supporter being held in a high-security Italian prison has praised Gaza fighters and invoked martyrdom, according to a news report circulating online. The statements are drawing attention to how convicted militants in European prisons continue to spread propaganda, and to debates in Italy and the wider European Union over security, radicalisation behind bars, and responses to the Gaza war.
Why now: The report fuels ongoing European debate about Hamas sympathisers and prison radicalisation amid the Gaza war
