Supporters of the Pirate Party are sharing memes framing the coming election as a choice between internet freedom and an Orwellian surveillance state. The posts contrast a dystopian future of mass monitoring and 'Big Brother' control with a utopian alternative built on privacy, digital rights and free access to information, urging people to vote with those values in mind.
Why now: Election campaigning has Pirate Party supporters pushing privacy and anti-surveillance messaging through viral memes.
