Original: This blog has been a little while coming, but I guess today just makes for a good time to ask this... # opensource # ai
A developer has published a blog post asking whether open source has lost its excitement, timed with Hacktoberfest. Tagged under open source, AI, software and community topics, the piece questions whether contributing to open projects still carries the appeal it once did, particularly as artificial intelligence reshapes how code gets written and shared.
Why now: The question lands during Hacktoberfest, when open source contribution is in the spotlight, and AI's rise has reignited debate about the movement's future.
