Warhammer 40,000 Twitch Sub Paywall Sparks Fan Backlash

Original: twitch

Fans are criticising Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 after a coveted in-game shield was locked behind a $6 Twitch subscription. The move has drawn widespread anger, with players arguing cosmetic rewards tied to creator support exclude much of the community. Separately, Pokémon GO is offering free timed research and an avatar jersey through a Twitch Drop for its Pokémon Night Out event.

Why now: The Space Marine 2 Twitch sub paywall controversy is currently driving discussion around the platform's game promotions.
