Original: EU rejects Ukraine’s request for early disbursement of €90 billion loan #Ukraine EU rejects Ukraine’s request f...
The European Union has turned down Ukraine's request to receive an early disbursement of a €90 billion loan. The decision means Kyiv will not get accelerated access to the funds it had sought, at a time when Ukraine continues to rely heavily on Western financial support to cover budget deficits and wartime spending. The EU has not detailed its reasons in the reporting so far.
Why now: The rejection affects Ukraine's wartime financing at a critical moment, drawing attention to EU-Ukraine financial relations.
