Kotaku Praises World Of Warcraft's Chunky Prairie Dog Model
Original: In Praise Of World Of Warcraft's God-Awful Polygonal Prairie Dog
Kotaku has published an appreciation of the prairie dog in World of Warcraft, celebrating the creature's crude, low-polygon model. The piece argues that the animal's blocky, dated look is part of its charm, a relic of the game's early art style that endures alongside more polished modern additions. It is a light, affectionate take on one of the MMO's many humble critters.
Why now: Gaming outlets are running nostalgic, humorous features about World of Warcraft's old low-poly creature models.
