Goiás electoral court draws voting machines for 2026 audit

Original: tre

The Regional Electoral Court of Goiás has held the draw to select which voting machines will be audited in the 2026 elections. The randomised audit is a standard step in Brazil's electoral process, used to verify that electronic ballots record votes correctly. The court announced the results publicly, in line with transparency procedures ahead of the national vote.

Why now: Brazil's 2026 elections are approaching, and audit draws are closely watched for signs of electoral integrity.
