Original: Meta Open-Sources Muse Gadget SDKs for DIY AI Hardware Devices
Meta has released its Muse gadget SDKs as open source, letting independent developers and hobbyists build their own AI-powered hardware devices. The move gives outside builders access to tools previously kept in-house, and is being read as an effort to grow an ecosystem of third-party AI gadgets built on Meta's software stack. Coverage so far has focused on what the release means for the DIY hardware community.
Why now: Open-sourcing AI hardware development tools lowers the barrier for independent device makers and signals Meta's push to expand its AI ecosystem.
