Some retailers, including Dutch optician chain Hans Anders, are reportedly refusing to sell or stock smart glasses. The move reflects unease among some shop owners about camera-equipped eyewear and the privacy questions it raises for customers and staff. The reported opt-out has drawn attention to a growing split in the retail world over whether camera glasses belong on store shelves.

Why now: Privacy concerns around camera-equipped smart glasses are prompting some retailers to refuse to sell them, a stance that is sparking debate.
