NASA Awards $1.4 Billion Contracts to 16 Firms
Original: NASA Awards $1.4 Billion To 16 Enterprise Support Companies
NASA has awarded contracts worth a combined $1.4 billion to 16 companies under its Enterprise Support Services framework, covering administrative, technical and management support for agency operations. The awards, reported by Aviation Week, spread work across a broad pool of contractors rather than a single provider. The move secures long-term support services for NASA programs and is drawing attention for the size of the total commitment.
Why now: The scale of the $1.4 billion awards and what they signal about NASA's outsourcing strategy make it newsworthy.
