Passenger flies from Congo to US 'in error' amid Ebola curbs
Original: Passenger boards flight from Congo to US 'in error' amid Ebola outbreak arrival restrictions
A passenger boarded a flight from Congo to the United States 'in error' while arrival restrictions linked to an Ebola outbreak were in place, according to ABC13 Houston. The report raises questions about how screening and travel restrictions tied to the outbreak are being enforced, allowing someone to travel despite the measures meant to limit arrivals from affected regions.
Why now: An Ebola outbreak and related US arrival restrictions are in the news, and a passenger apparently bypassing them is drawing attention.
