Elon Musk questions the value of stealth aircraft
Original: Elon Musk questions stealth aircraft
Elon Musk has publicly questioned the value of stealth fighter aircraft, reigniting a long-running debate over whether crewed, radar-evading jets remain the right investment for future air combat. The remarks draw attention to his past criticism of programmes like the F-35 and his argument that drones and cheaper systems could soon dominate. Defence analysts and aviation commentators are pushing back, defending stealth's continued relevance.
Why now: Musk's comments challenge major defence procurement priorities and echo his well-known criticism of manned stealth fighters like the F-35.
