Trump criticises Ken Paxton at rally
Original: Trump jabs Ken Paxton at rally
Donald Trump took a public swipe at Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton during a rally appearance, delivering a jab at the longtime ally. The remarks are drawing attention because Paxton has been a prominent Trump loyalist in Texas, and any rift between them carries potential consequences for state politics and Republican alignments heading into upcoming races.
Why now: A split between Trump and a high-profile loyalist like Paxton signals shifting dynamics in Republican politics.
