Trump blames the messenger for the GOP's problems
Original: Trump blames the messenger for the GOP’s problems
Donald Trump is arguing that the Republican Party's difficulties stem from how they are reported rather than from the party itself, blaming the media that covers its struggles. The remarks come amid ongoing debate within the GOP over its direction and electoral prospects. Critics see the comments as deflection, while supporters view coverage of the party as unfairly negative.
Why now: Trump's remarks about media coverage of the Republican Party's troubles are newly newsworthy in US politics.
