NASA opens Artemis webinar for blind users with data sonification
Original: # NASA 's # Artemis webinar for # blind and visually impaired people started with some sound that came from data sonific
NASA's Artemis webinar aimed at blind and visually impaired audiences began with sound produced by turning mission data into audio, a technique known as data sonification. Attendees praised the choice as a thoughtful touch, noting that making space data audible helps include blind and low-vision people in mission science rather than treating accessibility as an afterthought.
Why now: People are highlighting NASA's effort to make space missions accessible through sonified data.
