Upper West Side Chip City Closes Permanently as NYPD Collects Evidence
Original: UWS Chip City Permanently Closes as NYPD Officers Arrive to Collect Evidence
The Chip City cookie shop on the Upper West Side of Manhattan has permanently closed, with NYPD officers arriving at the location to collect evidence. The closure was reported by local outlet West Side Rag, which noted the police presence at the store. No details have been given on what prompted the police involvement or whether other Chip City locations are affected.
Why now: The unusual combination of a sudden permanent closure and a police evidence collection at a popular neighborhood dessert shop is drawing local attention.
