Original: volodymyr zelensky
Volodymyr Zelensky says Russia wants to force Kyiv residents out of the capital after Moscow unveiled what it calls a new doctrine targeting Ukrainian civilians, and he vowed to respond with further strikes on Russian energy infrastructure. Ukraine also reported using its FP-7 ballistic missile in combat for the first time, as footage emerged of a Ukrainian pilot shooting down a Russian drone.
Why now: Escalating Russian attacks on Ukraine and Kyiv's promised retaliation are keeping Zelensky at the center of breaking news.
