Ukraine has carried out strikes on Russian oil refineries and military targets across six regions, according to a report by UAWire. The attacks are part of Kyiv's ongoing campaign against Russian energy and defence infrastructure, which has repeatedly targeted refineries to disrupt fuel supplies funding the war effort.
Why now: Strikes deep inside Russian territory on energy infrastructure mark a significant escalation in the war and affect global oil markets.
