Japanese sports and entertainment outlet Sponichi reports that actress Haruka Fukuhara and Real Sociedad footballer Takefusa Kubo have married, following shortly after Haruna Kawaguchi and footballer Ko Itakura announced their marriage in August. The article also looks back at past marriages between actresses and professional footballers in Japan, a pattern that keeps drawing public interest.
Why now: Two high-profile actress–footballer marriages announced within months of each other have become a hot celebrity topic in Japan.
