Kennedy Center Honors move to Capital One Arena amid Trump naming dispute

Original: Kennedy Center Honors to be held at Capital One Arena amid fight over adding Trump's name

This year's Kennedy Center Honors will be held at Capital One Arena in Washington rather than the Kennedy Center's own opera house, as a dispute continues over adding President Trump's name to the institution. The relocation of one of America's premier arts celebrations marks an unusual break with tradition, and reaction has focused on the politics surrounding the institution's leadership and naming fight.

Why now: The relocation of a major cultural tradition amid a high-profile political fight over Trump's name on the Kennedy Center is drawing wide attention.
