NBA breaks ties for 2026 draft order; Jazz keep protected pick
Original: NBA breaks ties for 2026 draft position; Jazz keep protected pick
The NBA has conducted its tiebreaker drawings to settle draft position ties for the 2026 NBA Draft. The results matter for teams with identical records, as a spot or two in the order can affect lottery odds. The Utah Jazz learned they will keep their protected pick rather than losing it in a trade.
Why now: Draft tiebreaker results affect lottery odds and pick outcomes for several teams, and Utah fans are relieved the protected pick stays with the Jazz.
