Omani co-pilot posted about 'killing Jews' before hijacking attempt, report says
Original: Omani co-pilot mused about ‘killing Jews’ in disturbing social media posts before hijacking attempt: report
A report says an Omani co-pilot wrote social media posts expressing thoughts about 'killing Jews' before an attempted hijacking. The revelations have drawn attention to how the suspect's extremist statements went undetected before the incident, and raised questions about airline vetting and monitoring of flight crew members.
Why now: The report links an attempted hijacking to openly antisemitic posts by a flight crew member, prompting concern over security screening.
