The World Health Organization says essential medical equipment destined for Gaza has been waiting 74 days for approval from COGAT, Israel's agency overseeing aid into the territory. According to the WHO, Israel is rejecting some vital supplies, and continued delays mean equipment already allocated for Gaza remains stuck outside the enclave while hospitals and patients wait.

Why now: Fresh WHO figures on blocked and delayed medical aid are drawing attention to the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
