Movie lovers are marking the first Friday of October by listing the last four films they watched and rating them. One viewer gave Dave Made a Maze 2/5, praising its set design but criticising flat characters, while The Great Lillian Hall earned 4/5 for its acting despite an overly neat ending. Their thoughts on Hamlet were too complicated to summarise.

Why now: LetterboxdFriday is a recurring weekly ritual where film fans post their recent watches, and the start of a new month gives it extra momentum.
