Smart Gates Planned for Russians at Hurghada Airport
Original: международный аэропорт хургады
Hurghada International Airport in Egypt is set to introduce 'smart gates' for Russian tourists, according to travel industry outlet Tourprom. The automated border control system would speed up passport checks for one of the largest groups of foreign visitors to Egypt's Red Sea resorts. The news is being discussed as Russians remain among the top tourists in Hurghada, where long queues at immigration have long been a common complaint.
Why now: Russians are a major tourist group in Hurghada and automated border gates promise faster entry, so travel audiences are paying attention.
