Original: We Investigated Starlink. The Corruption We Found Will Shock You. #starlink #thieves #rural #internet #infrastructure #b
An investigation into Starlink alleges corruption in how Elon Musk's satellite internet service is subsidized, with critics framing it as corporate welfare for a billionaire while rural internet infrastructure needs go unmet. The claims, amplified under hashtags like #CorporateWelfare and #WelfareQueens, suggest public money is benefiting wealthy interests rather than underserved communities.
Why now: Renewed public scrutiny of Elon Musk's companies and government subsidies is driving attention to allegations that Starlink benefits from corporate welfare.
