Golf instructor Kengo Aoshima is questioning a widespread misunderstanding among golfers in Japan: the belief that a particular swing will send the ball perfectly straight. He argues many amateur players misread how swing mechanics actually affect ball flight, a mistake that hurts scores with irons, drivers and putters alike. His lesson content is drawing attention within Japan's online golf community, where instructional tips remain highly popular.
Why now: A golf professional is publicly correcting a common beginner mistake, prompting discussion among players looking to improve their game.
