Madrid president criticised for appearing on far-right mystery programme
Original: Que la presidenta de la Comunidad de # Madrid haya decidido que el programa de los nazis del misterio es el sitio adecua
The president of the Community of Madrid is being criticised for choosing to give statements on a Spanish television programme whose hosts are described by critics as holding far-right or 'nazi' views. Commenters argue that the choice of platform says a lot about the intended target of her message, turning the appearance into a story about the mainstreaming of far-right media in Spanish politics.
Why now: A regional leader's choice of a controversial TV programme as a platform is drawing criticism and fuelling debate about far-right media influence in Spain.
